Christmas with all the wrappings at Fairly Organic Folk
10/12/2010
UK consumers wrap Christmas up in enough paper to parcel up the island of Guernsey. Besides the environmental impact of chopping down more than a few forests, masses of energy is consumed in printing and transporting wrapping paper.
On the other hand, there are few things more lovely than a bundle of gorgeously wrapped parcels beneath the Christmas tree. Maybe the answer is to find a different way to package our gifts.
Fairly Organic Folk is offering free giftwrapping between now and Christmas. Other than stickers, all materials have previously been used and could be used again before recycling.
You can choose between tissue paper, brown paper, newspaper and recycled glass jars (irresistible!). Which would you choose?
